About the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is one of the largest of the toy dog breeds and has four color variations: The Ruby, the Black-and-Tan, the Tricolored and the Blenheim. These dogs have a rich history with royalty as they were bred to be companion dogs. They were given the King Charles title for their namesake King Charles II who was an avid breeder for the Spaniels. Regardless of color, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs are reputed to have naturally loyal and happy dispositions. They are great with other animals, the elderly, young children, and make wonderful pets for first-time dog owners.
